Suzume Trailer Previews Titular Character’s Voice

The new trailer gives viewers the first preview of Nanoka Hara’s performance as lead character Suzume.

“I was very nervous. Since I could only use my voice to convey the emotions of the characters, I had to be mindful of every phrase and the meaning it was intended to carry,” Hara explained in her performance. Said about. “There was a lot that I didn’t know.” She adds, “Looking at the picture and voice together, I finally felt it was up to me to bring this character to life, which upset me so much, I could hardly even move. However, director Shinkai used to admire my acting and guide me to the right performance every time. Recording this trailer has definitely boosted my confidence!”

Seemingly pulled by its power, Suzume reaches for the knob. Doors across Japan one after another. One opens up, wreaking havoc on anyone who is near them. Suzume must close these portals to prevent further disaster.”
