With the announcement of the 68th National Film Awards on 22nd July, Ajay Devgn added another win to his long list of accolades. He won the Best Actor award for his performance in the historical drama ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, making it his third National Award. Ajay Devgan has previously won the National Film Award for Best Actor for ‘Zakhm’ and ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’.

‘Tanhaji’ also won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Costume Design awards. Congratulating Ajay Devgn for the win, Sidharth Malhotra wrote, “Congratulations on your third National Award, Ajay Devgn sir. Cheers for the more powerful performance.” Interestingly, Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra will be seen sharing the frame in ‘Thank God’.

Ajay Devgn shared the Best Actor award with Suriya, who won the same for his performance in the Tamil film ‘Soorarai Potru’. Speaking about the big win, Ajay Devgn said in a statement, “I am excited to win the Best Actor award at the 68th National Awards for Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior along with Suriya who won for Soorarai Pottru I thank everyone, above all my creative team, audience and my fans.
