Speaking exclusively to ETimes, RGV said, “Guess this is their way of demanding justice for gender equality. If women can show their sexy bodies then why can’t men? It is hypocritical that men should is judged by a different standard. Men should have the same rights as women.”
RGV, who recently ventured into making adult films like Climax and Naked, added, “I think India has finally grown old and I think this is Ranveer’s statement on gender equality.”
Yesterday, Ranveer’s co-star Alia Bhatt also supported his choice and devil-may-care nature, “I don’t like saying anything negative about my favorite Ranveer Singh. I can’t even stand the question. I love him. He will really be an all-time favorite for all of us and he has given us a lot in movies, so we should just give him love.” Ranveer’s good friend Arjun Kapoor also supported his decision and said that he is doing what makes him happy and people should respect it.
While RGV’s quirky endorsement for Ranveer is unconventional, it is completely different and as unique as the personality and likes of the superstar.
