According to Sunny’s spokesperson, the ‘Border’ star suffered a back injury a few weeks back while shooting for one of his projects.
He was treated in Mumbai for a week and then went to America for treatment. Due to his injury, Sunny, the Lok Sabha MP from Gurdaspur in Punjab, did not attend the oath ceremony of President Draupadi Murmu.
“Sunny Deol suffered a back injury during a shooting a few weeks back, first he was undergoing treatment for his back in Mumbai and then he went to USA for his back treatment two weeks back. President elections were held during this and He was not in the country. His treatment is still not over. He should return to India after recovering,” the spokesperson said.
Sunny will be seen sharing the screen with Pooja Bhatt and Dulquer Salmaan in R Balki’s ‘Chup’. He is also coming up with ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Apne 2’.
There is also Surya in Sunny’s bag. Reportedly, the film is a Hindi remake of Malayalam crime thriller ‘Joseph’. In April, he unveiled his look from the film in which he was seen sitting on a ladder, lost in some deep thoughts.
Describing his character, Sunny wrote, ‘He had all the happiness, but then the journey of life took away his happiness and he was left with hatred, anger and vengeance. But Surya has got a purpose…. #Surya,” Sunny had posted.
