The film is earning Rs 50 crore in its first week itself. On Thursday, the film earned at least Rs 1.50 crore at the domestic box office, thus taking the total to an estimated Rs 40 crore.
The film may have been in the news before its release, but according to the figures, it has made a poor collection. ‘Shamshera’ not only underperformed in its first weekend, but also continued its declining trend during the week, earning around Rs 2 crore on working weekdays.
Reports on boxofficeindia.com stated that the expectations of the film to do well at the box office were high, but sadly, the film was rejected in all commercial circles. The trade showed no signs of growth in the major circuits since its release last Friday.
The film will have a small margin to make its collections this week as it will share the box office business with several new releases, including ‘Ek Villain Returns’ starring John Ambram and Arjun Kapoor.
