Apparently, many Twitter users ditched Aamir’s controversial “India’s growing intolerance” statement and circulated it across the internet. Back in 2015, he made a controversial statement, “Our country is very tolerant, but there are people who spread maliciousness”. His ex-wife Kiran Rao was also reprimanded for saying that she had considered leaving the country for the safety of their children.
Earlier in a press event, Aamir was asked if this hatred and unnecessary trolling bother him. To which the actor said, ‘Yes, I am feeling sad. At the same time, I am also sad that some people who are saying this, believe in their heart that I am someone who does not like India. They believe in their heart, but it is untrue. It’s unfortunate that some people feel that way. that’s not it. Please don’t boycott my film. Please watch my film.”
