PETA wrote in a letter to Ranveer, “On behalf of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, the country’s most renowned animal rights group with over two million members and supporters. We saw your heads turning at Paper Magazine’s photo shoot – and we hope you drop the pants for us too.”

It further read, “To promote compassion for animals, would you consider appearing in a nude ad from PETA India with the tagline ‘All Animals Have the Same Parts – Try Vegan’? Pamela Anderson.” The letter also mentioned that celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Joaquin Phoenix, Kartik Aaryan and Natalie Portman promote vegetarianism.

Pamela Anderson has shot for PETA since 2011.

Ranveer had earlier revealed during the AMA session that he is currently following a vegetarian diet. Reportedly, he turned vegetarian for his upcoming film Rocky and Rani’s love story, in which he will be reuniting with his Gully Boy co-star Alia Bhatt. Directed by Karan Johar, the film also stars Jaya Bachchan, Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi. The actor recently completed the shooting of the film.

Ranveer has been in the news ever since he stopped all this in his photoshoot. A case has been registered against him for hurting sentiments. Meanwhile, actors like Kareena Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vidya Balan, Janhvi Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Vaani Kapoor and many others came out in support of the actor.
