The film earned Rs 2 crore on Wednesday, taking the total business so far to Rs 29.35 crore. A report by boxofficeindia.com said that the net collection is expected to be Rs 31 crore by the end of this week.
The decline has mainly come in Delhi and UP, which did well over the weekend and also on Monday and Tuesday. The film’s collection in the Mumbai circuit is also reportedly around 8 crore nett in the first six days. In contrast, ‘Ek Villain Returns’ continued its stellar run in the UK.
‘Ek Villain Returns’ is a sequel to the 2014 hit film ‘Ek Villain’, which starred Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the lead roles. The film received positive reviews from the audience and critics alike.
Next week, the film will lock horns with Aamir Khan’s ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’.
