Is the digital signature same as above?
No. These signatures mostly have a numerical identity which is mainly used in software companies. They also give integrity and authenticity to large companies. These are like points of identification based on mutual interest between two companies involved in a financial transaction. Once digital signature is approved by a company, then there is a process of verification. The signature has to be verified to identify the sender or who is the person behind the signature. The integrity of the signed document is also to be verified. The person who verifies the digital sign must have the hash algorithm that the sender used with the signature.

Hence, the key difference between digital signature and e-signature is that the first depends on the algorithm and the second does not. In other words, digital signals are in programming language, whereas electronic signatures can range from pictures, fingerprints, symbols and more. A document is not necessary for the latter, but is required for the last one. Digital can come as a subset under e-Sign as it can be processed as one of its modifications.
