Director Lingusamy sentenced to 6 months imprisonment by the Saidapet court | Tamil Movie News

Popular director Lingusamy has been sentenced to 6 months imprisonment by a Saidapet court for directing several commercial hits. A case has been filed by a production company PVP Capital against the director Lingusamy as the director did not return the money he had bought from the production house. Director Lingusamy has reportedly surrendered a check citing loan money to the production house. But the director has not paid the loan amount and the check given by him has bounced.

The matter was heard in the Saidapet Sessions Court today and the judge hearing the case has ordered six months imprisonment to Lingusamy and his brother Subhash Chandra. However, Lingusamy has decided to appeal again in the Madras High Court on the judgment delivered by the Saidapet Court.

Director Lingusamy last played the lead roles in Tamil-Telugu bilingual ‘The Warrior’ starring Ram Pothineni and Keerthy Shetty, and the film did not live up to the expectations. Earlier Lingusamy had announced a bilingual drama with Allu Arjun, but the film did not go ahead after the initial launch.
