Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Exports – Import Bank (GEXIM), Lawrence Agninsam, Thursday, 18th In August 2022, the Embassy of the United States of America in Ghana hosted a team, led by Dean Matlake, a commercial consultant.

The meeting was held at the head office of GEXIM in Accra and provided an opportunity for the Bank to discuss areas of mutual interest to build cooperation and synergy with the Embassy of the United States of America.

In addition, it was a follow-up to a meeting held in May 2022 between GEXIM and the United States of America Exim Bank, on the sidelines of the 2022 Spring Meeting of the International Union of Credit and Investment Insurers (Bern Union) . ) was held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Mr. Lawrence Agninsam reiterated the Bank’s commitment to work out a framework to operate an existing agreement for USD 300 million guarantee to be provided by US Exim Bank after reviewing the existing MoU signed by both the banks in 2019 .

This is very important in helping us fulfill our mandate to help realize our agenda of making Ghana a pillar in regional and continental trade. Currently, our team is working with US Exim officials to finalize this and we are sure of the great prospects from this partnership.He added.

On his part, Dean Matlack expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome extended to him and his team by GEXIM, and called on the US Embassy in Ghana to assist at all levels to ensure the success of the cooperation between the US Exim Bank and GEXIM. ready for He further indicated the Embassy’s willingness to collaborate with GEXIM on projects aimed at ensuring the healthy life and well-being of the people.

The other members of the GEXIM team at the meeting were Hon.
