Wholly Ghanaian-owned food processing and preservation company Samba Foods Limited posted impressive sales last year despite the impact of the lingering COVID-19 pandemic on its activities.

The company’s sales grew by 57.48 percent to GH1,059,735 in 2021, from GH¢672,907 in 2020.

This was disclosed by Dr. Mrs. Leticia Osafo-Addo, Managing Director of Samba Foods Ltd., during her organization’s turn on the facts behind the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) data series.

He said that the growth in sales during the period under review shows a massive improvement over the previous years.

The Managing Director indicated that, the company is committed to its turnaround strategy to bring the company back to profitability and to become a leading player in the food processing and preservation industry in Ghana.

Dr. Mrs. Leticia Osafo-Addo announced that Samba Foods Ltd. is expected to produce over 2,500,000 sauces and condiments to meet the growing demand by the year 2022.

She said that if the company is able to garner the required amount of support and investment from the government and the public, Samba Foods Limited will create a significant footprint both within and outside Ghana.

She also indicated that the company is working to train the youth of the team in food processing and preservation.

The facts behind the figures provide an opportunity for companies listed on the GSE to present their results to brokers, institutional investors and the general public.
