The picture was originally shared on Instagram Stories by Kanika Karwinkop, a friend of Anushka. In the picture, which Kanika suggested to be taken in Goa in 2004, Anushka was wearing a tank top and denim jeans, with a stone embellishment in the shape of a flower on her mini pocket. She was carrying a red tote bag with a long strap on her shoulder. Anushka, who must have been 16 at the time, was also sporting the long thin eyebrows that were in trend at the time.

Kanika made fun of her and Anushka’s eyebrows and captioned the picture, “Lol @anushkasharma look what I got. Our eyebrows toh hahaha. Goa, 2004?” Anushka also concurred with her friend’s caption about her eyebrows and reposted it on her Instagram Stories with the caption, “Hahaha,” adding a tongue sticking out emoji.
