Priyanka Chopra reveals what drew her to Russo Brother’s show ‘Citadel’

Priyanka Chopra will soon be seen in action in Russo Brothers’ upcoming series ‘Citadel’. The actress, who has been out and has been attending various events across the world, revealed some of the things that fans can expect to see in the series.

In a video from the FC Festival, the actress said she will be seen doing her own stunts, which her Avengers: Endgame director Anthony Russo believes “not everyone can really do.”

Speaking about shooting action sequences, the actress compared the art of doing stunts to working on math problems. “It’s like math. If you train, you can do it,” she said.

To this Anthony quipped, “I like your analogy but, like math, not everyone can really do it.”

Priyanka also gave a hint about the show when she revealed what attracted her to jump on board. She revealed that the series would have a ‘social experiment’ theme, adding, “I’ve been a big fan of the Russo Brothers and what really attracted me was the show’s social experimentation.”

‘Citadel’ was in the news last month when reports claimed that the show would be the second most expensive series ever. The series was reportedly set for an estimated budget of $160 million, but according to media reports, the seven-episode series increased its budget to approximately $75 million, bringing the total estimated production cost to $250 million.

Reports further claimed that the show is set to focus on a group of various international spies who join forces for a grand mission. It was instrumental in flagging off several spinoffs, which would follow some individual detectives as they embark on solo missions in their respective home countries.
