Hrithik Roshan-Saif Ali Khan starrer opens with Rs 10 crore

‘Vikram Vedha’ received positive reviews from the industry and fans of Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan were eagerly waiting for it. However, it looks like the actioner was having a tough time converting the accolades into money.

According to the report of BoxofficeIndia, the film did not perform as expected in the Hindi mass circuit and earned around Rs 10 crore on the first day. ‘Vikram Vedha’ saw strong trends in West Bengal, Nizam/Andhra and Mysore on the first day, but North, West and Central India scored low. If the film runs till Monday, ‘Vikram Vedha’ has a lot of room for growth post Dussehra.

‘Vikram Vedha’ is a remake of a Tamil film of the same name, starring Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan in the lead roles. Speaking about the comparison with Vijay Sethupathi, Hrithik had said, “I can’t do anything about it. I have done my part. The only thing in my control is to do my best. That’s all. I make a prayer every day: ‘Give me the courage to change what I can, the peace to accept what cannot be changed, and the insight to know the difference’. Once I know this, I am satisfied.” While Saif had praised Madhavan’s performance in the original Tamil film and said, “Someone once told me something. We are called stars, and among them is an entire galaxy. And the reason there are so many is that everyone is different. So, I hope I am able to come up with an interesting take on it.”
